This is a spiritual support group that welcomes parents and other caregivers of children (infant through adult) who deal with physical, emotional or mental disabilities.
Meetings are arranged according to the group needs and provide information on many services available in our area and state. It is the support these parents are to one another that makes our meetings so beneficial.
Each year, a gathering of all families takes place in March to celebrate Disabilities Awareness Month. A mass is celebrated in which the members and those they care for participate as greeters, altar servers, and gift bearers. A festive dinner with various games and activities follows.
Goal: To provide support in a spiritual environment to caregivers of the physically, mentally and/or emotionally challenged children and youth of our parish and community
- Provide spiritual nourishment to all caregivers of the physically, mentally and/or emotionally challenged children and youth of the parish and community through sharing faith
- Share our knowledge of assistance available on the local, state and national level
- Remain ecumenical
